God's Promise for 2025 and Beyond: Wisdom for All Who Ask

The new year is coming in hot and I know that I could use a huge dose of wisdom in order to be more than a conqueror for Jesus Christ in 2025.  Whenever a new year starts, it is a natural time for people to set goals, make plans, and set up schedules for the things they want to prioritize.  All this is well and good except for those times when a person lacks wisdom about how to actually do the things God has called them to do.

I’m so incredibly happy to report that God promises to provide wisdom generously.   “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)

Don’t just ask God once or twice.  Ask God daily to give you the wisdom He knows you need to accomplish the good things He has put in your heart to do.  Ask for wisdom before you make any plans or set any goals.  Ask for wisdom each day to know how to work toward those plans and goals.  Ask wisdom as you start to achieve the things you set out to do and ask wisdom after you complete each goal.

Your life on earth is important to the Kingdom of God.  If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are God’s ambassador and you’ve been given a great commission.

Jesus said, “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)

There are so many Bible passages about God being the Source of all wisdom and His promise to share His wisdom with us.  Here are just a few:

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;” (Proverbs 2:6)

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” (Proverbs 9:10)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6).

As you can see, the book of Proverbs is a fount of wisdom and I would like to offer you a challenge for 2025.  Read through the entire Book of Proverbs starting January 1, 2025.  Read one chapter a day for 31 days and take notes on all the verses that stand out to you.  Ask God to show You what He wants you to learn from His Words in this particular Book of the Bible.

Do you want to really start to understand the wisdom God shares with us in this particular book?  Read through it a second time, one chapter a day through February and into the first few days of March.  By reading through it a second time, you will begin to see things in the verses that you didn’t see the first time.

I want you to know that I wish you a very blessed new year and I pray for us all to be about our Heavenly Father’s business using our skills, our gifts, our personality, and even our weaknesses for God’s glory and for our good.
