Autumn Blessings in Bloom
Share
I have two favorite colors. One is turquoise and the other is coral (a peachy pink). As autumn-like weather is starting to occur here in East Tennessee, I was inspired to paint a pumpkin and flower arrangement. I wasn't quite ready to paint an orange pumpkin yet (it is still August after all) but the elegance of a white pumpkin called to me and I referenced some of the flowers in a recent floral arrangement I saw to fill this elegant pumpkin.
This painting is the result of combining my favorite colors, some of my favorite subject matter (florals) with a seasonal object (pumpkin). It is different. Not many pumpkin paintings or pictures have a pink table and a turquoise background, but I like making different combinations. The orange pumpkin surrounded by sunflowers has been done to death, so I went a different direction.
This painting, "Autumn Blessings in Bloom" is available as a 9" x 12" canvas print which is a easy to hang on a wall as it is, lean against a wall, or display on a small easel.
