My Artist Story

As a young girl, I dreamed of being a ballerina, twirling in the living room to my dad’s classical records, trying to express the emotions the music stirred within me. Though dance was never part of my reality, the desire to express myself never left—it simply found new forms. In junior high and high school, I discovered art and writing as my creative refuge. Acrylic paints became a way for me to process the world, while fictional stories and essays gave my thoughts wings. After a challenging move during my high school years, art became a lifeline—a place where I could express emotions I didn’t have words for.

Yet, practicality won after graduation, and I pursued a degree in Communication Studies, followed by a career in sales and marketing. I felt stifled, yearning for something more meaningful. This longing led me to pursue a Master's in Counseling Psychology, where I later discovered Expressive Arts Therapy—a practice that felt like coming home.

As I facilitated workshops and retreats, helping others process emotions through art, I felt my own creative spark reignite. Eventually, I made the bold choice to step away from my private practice and pursue painting full-time. Acrylics became my primary medium as I explored florals, seascapes, and landscapes—each brushstroke a prayer of joy, gratitude, and worship.

Painting is one of the ways I hope to inspire others to look to their Creator and experience His unconditional love. My mission is to impart joy, peace, adventure, and serenity to everyone who encounters my work. I want my paintings to feel like a warm embrace—an invitation to rest, wonder, and trust in God’s love.

My artistic style is an expressive blend of impressionism, marked by vibrant colors, painterly brushstrokes, and thoughtful details. Working primarily in acrylics, I create both bold, joyful pieces and soft, serene works that invite viewers to reflect and reconnect. My art explores the wonders of creation—from land to sea and everything in between—each piece a tribute to the awe and gratitude I feel for our Creator, God.

My background as an expressive arts therapist and counselor deeply influences my approach. My work is informed by a blend of intuition and precision, creating layered compositions that balance freedom with form. Hikes along the semi-arid trails of Southern California, coastal walks beside the Pacific, visits to the Gulf Coast, and floral beauty from diverse regions inspire my brushstrokes. Each painting captures moments of discovery, worship, and reflection.

Through themes of joy, beauty, and serenity, my work resonates with those seeking peace, spiritual connection, and a sense of playful wonder. Bright florals, alive with bold color, bring warmth and energy to homes, while tranquil landscapes and seascapes offer spaces for rest and contemplation, serving as visual reminders of God’s enduring love.

With an appreciation for both new art enthusiasts and seasoned collectors, I offer affordable prints as well as exclusive original pieces. My mission is to share art that reminds us of God’s love and invites us to experience the beauty and complexity of life with gratitude, wonder, and hope.
